The students have chosen a particular colour texta for a 'swirly' background. They have then used twistable crayons to colour in particular sections, trying to stay within the texta lines they have created.

The students have started their self portrait drawing portfolio. They draw themselves a few times a year with grey led and I retain the drawings. This builds up their portfolio. When the students leave the school they are given their portfolio and have a visual reminder of how their work and interests have changed over their time with us!
The students have constructed hot air balloons out of paper and cardboard. These will form an integral component of collage / drawn pieces next week.
The students have been introduced to Optical Art. They have traced around their arms and hands with grey led, then used texta to create an impression of their limb rising from the page.
The students have been studying the shapes featured in the architecture of Federation Square. These watercolour and acrylic paintings are inspired by geometry.
The students have started a piece based on 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch. They have replicated the pose of the central figure and have had Digital photographs taken. Their photos will be used in a collage over the following weeks.
The students have already started designing ideas for their legacy project. Hopefully it will be completed this term, so look out around the T.P.P.S gardens for signs of art!
The students have studied the paintings of Amedio Modigliani. They have completed sketches to prepare for their acrylic paintings next week.The students have completed observational drawings of shells with grey led. They have then used willow and compressed charcoal to complete these pieces.
