Art News…
Welcome back to term three, where does the time go?
We have hit the ground running in Art this term. The 5’s and 6’s have been focussed on doing their drawings for the production ‘backdrop’. Grade 4’s have been competing drawings on cacti, with a Mexican influence. Grade 3’s have completed an optical art hand drawing and are now focussing on a collaborative work based on that of Escher. Grade 2’s have completed some amazing collaborative paintings which are on display outside the Art room. They are now doing a small collage related to Art. Grade 1’s have also done some feline collages, as well as drawings on top of collages, using textas and white oil pastels. The Foundation students have decorated icy pole sticks, painted and had their photos taken for an amazing artwork which will be completed next week. Congratulations everyone, you have once again been amazing!
Please keep your eyes out for items that we will need to borrow for the production. These can be left at the Art room. Thanking you all for your help in anticipation!
Any flat newspapers can be left in the tub just inside the Art room door!
In addition, I am collecting washed towels, as well as old doonas (not feather) which I will drop to the Blue Cross Animal society, to help keep the rescue animals warm over these really cold nights. Any donations are appreciated, and these can also be left in the Art room!
