The students in Grade 6 have been investigating various painting and printmaking techniques. Their research will be used in a pop art piece that they are working on.
The students have decorated tongue depressors with textas and buttons, consideration being given to line and pattern. These have been combined onto a large sheet of mountboard to form this amazing piece. It will be on temporary display outside the Art room this term. The students have painted a large blue sky background. They have also drawn patterns onto dragonfly templates, using fine liners and black textas. After they have cut out the insects, these have been collaged onto the sky background, creating an amazing piece of art. This will be on temporary display outside the Art room. Well done everyone! The students have drawn creatures in a tree. PVA glue has been used to 'draw' with, creating a clear wall once it has dried. Watercolour paint will be used in our next session to add interest. The students have been investigating warm and cool colours, as well as pointillism. Their reflections of the sun over water look amazing. Well done everyone! |
