The students have listened to the radio and drawn abstract black lines on their pages, relating to what they have heard. Dry / soft pastels have been used to add colours, paying particular attention to how they blend together.
The students have traced around their arms and hands and created tree trunks. They have then collaged coloured cover paper to create leaves. This reinforces tracing and cutting skills. It is always a great idea for parents to practise cutting skills with their children on blank pieces of paper!
The students have been studying the artist Gustav Klimt. These collages have combined wax resist, watercolour painting and collage techniques.
